Obsessed with backpacking and the outdoors, Josh has always held a deep passion for the need to protect our environment. After focusing on energy law and climate change at UC Berkeley School of Law, Josh helped build and run NextGen Climate, a leading national advocacy group for clean energy and smart climate policies. As a Councilman, he has helped make Novato a leader in sustainability and climate action and will continue to lead on the urgency of this issue.

Novato’s new sustainability coordinator takes the reins

The sustainability coordinator position was created this year at the request of Councilman Josh Fryday. The City Council on March 7 unanimously voted to budget up to $120,000, including salary, benefits and a program budget for the new position.
