A group of mayors across California, including leaders from five of the 21 most populated cities, endorsed Josh Fryday for Lieutenant Governor in the 2026 election.
The mayors include:

- Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi
- Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua
- Moreno Valley Mayor Ulises Cabrera
- Mill Valley Mayor Urban Carmel
- Former Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg
- Former Novato Mayor Denise Athas
- Former Walnut Creek Mayor and Chair of the Bay Area Council Kristina Lawson
“Whether it’s expanding opportunities for veterans or investing in the next generation, Josh Fryday knows how to bring people together to get things done. I’ve seen him deliver for Californians across the state and especially in Anaheim and I’m happy to support his campaign for Lieutenant Governor,” said Anaheim Mayor Aitken.

I know he’s deeply committed to improving the lives of our residents and will bring that same dedication to the Office of Lieutenant Governor.”
