The Problem: California has the fourth-largest economy in the world but the worst housing crisis in the nation.
The Solution: Make it easier to build homes, infrastructure, and opportunity—with urgency.
Having lived in 17 different homes before age 18, Josh understands the pain of California’s housing crisis firsthand. His approach is simple: when families need homes, bureaucracy shouldn’t stand in the way. Josh will:
- Fast-track housing construction, especially near jobs, transit, and schools
- Partner with universities to build more on-campus and near-campus housing
- Streamline approvals and eliminate bureaucratic barriers to progress
- Expand transit options to create more affordable communities
- Build the infrastructure California needs at the speed of need, not the speed of bureaucracy
Josh learned during disaster response in Japan that when people need help, paperwork shouldn’t stop solutions. He’ll bring that same urgency to California’s housing crisis.
