California’s affordability crisis demands bold solutions. Josh’s answer: expand the successful California Service Corps model to create a universal service option for all young Californians. Like a modern-day GI Bill for California, this initiative will:

• Provide debt-free pathways to college through community service
• Create job training and apprenticeship programs for careers that don’t require four-year degrees
• Build the workforce we need for California’s future—teachers, nurses, clean energy workers
• Bring Californians together to strengthen our communities

Under Josh’s leadership, California Volunteers has already proven this model works, with thousands of young people tutoring students, cleaning up the environment, and working in partnership with local organizations across the state. As Lieutenant Governor, Josh will scale this vision statewide.
